Nervous system
Why can I feel things?
Have you ever wondered why you can feel something is hot or something is soft? That's because your sense of touch come from your nervous system. Your nerves run all throughout your entire body and are controlled by the brain.
The brain is probably the most complex thing in your body. It controls everything from when to blink, tells your muscles you need to moves when it receives signals from warning signs in your body. Your brain tells you your cold or warm, helps you see, basically controls everything in your body. When you’re hungry, your brain receives signals from your stomach that it's empty and that you need to eat to get energy to think, move, and keeps your body going.

Central nervous systemThe central nervous system is your brain and your spinal cord. It is what it sounds like which is the main nervous system in your body!
All the other nerves go out from here and send and recieve messages from here as well |
peripheral nervous systemThese nerves are all the rest of the nerves in your body (can be seen in the picture above). This system covers everything from your head to your toes. Tells your brain when your hurt or to hot.

What's your spinal cord?Your spinal cord is your main system of nerves that runs inside your spine. One of the spines main jobs is to protect it. Its the origin of all the nerves in your body so it sends and recieves messages that go to and from your brain.
